We suggest if you see something you want to buy it right away because there’s no guarantee it will be in stock come August. We are constantly getting new products in as other items run out and can never guarantee we will have that product in stock again.

This depends on when you start baiting, how much you bait each time, how often you bait, how many sites you’re baiting and how many bear are coming in. Typically most people go through 4-5 barrels, including dry bait and sweet toppings, per season but again it depends on the variables listed above. Feel free to ask one of our experienced associates when purchasing your bait as to what they would recommend for your circumstances.

No. A majority of our bait lasts a LONG time no matter how it’s stored but it’s best if you can store the bait in a cool dry location.

We do not put large amount of chocolate in our baits and not every bait contains chocolate. If you are in a chocolate free state be sure to ask BEFORE purchasing if the bait you’ve selected contains chocolate.

We suggest you avoid large blocks of chocolate due to it being toxic to bears, also please check your local and state regulations for restrictions BEFORE purchasing bait.

Yes, all of our current inventory lists are posted on our website for each location, products vary per location. We try to keep them as updated as possible but remember quantities of items can change fast as baiting season picks up. Please check the individual location pages for their inventory list.

For in store purchases we accept the following forms of payment at all locations:

• Check – made payable to Bob’s Bear Bait LLC.
• Credit Cards (via PayPal) – Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Yes. Bear Bait is subject to sales tax and we charge local sales tax on all purchases as required by law.

There is a $20 barrel purchase fee for all products that come in a 55-Gallon Barrel/Drum. The barrel is yours to keep or dispose of in a responsible manner. We no longer take barrel returns.

All of our Bear Attractant Scents (Sprays, Smears, and Concentrated Solutions) are available for purchase online.

There is a minimum purchase for online orders which includes free shipping to the USA except for Alaska and Hawaii.

Orders are shipped out once a week on Tuesday vis USPS.

Bob’s Bear Bait LLC ships products all over the United States.

There is a minimum of 1,500 pounds for shipping of Dry Bait and Sweet Toppings in Totes, Barrels, Bags, Boxes, etc.

For the majority of Wisconsin, shipping is approximately $90 per pallet if delivered to a business. Residential delivery is a bit higher.

Bob’s Bear Bait works with many trucking companies to ship bait to other areas of the United States. We offer both LTL (less than truckload) and full loads.

Shipping cost is based on your location and the weight and size of the bait products you choose, so have a detailed list of what you’re looking for to better calculate the shipping price.

If we are delivering to a loading dock you will need a forklift or steer skid at the delivery site to unload your shipment.

If you require a liftgate truck let us know when you place your order as this will increase the shipping cost.
